Graveyard Girl is an excellent childrens book of historical fiction. It reminds me of many of the classic Newberry Winning books I loved reading as a child.

Anna Myers does a wonderful job handling a very dark time in historythe yellow fever epidemic in Memphisand writes about it in a very poignant way for young readers/5.

"Graveyard Girl" interested me because of the yellow fever plot, and while this book used that as its base, it didn't really get into the history of it. I found the writing to be too choppy and not descriptive enough; I had a very hard time imaging the places/5(6).
